Inside Line Promotions - ODESSA, Texas (Sept. 10, 2013) - Josh Baughman enjoyed a relaxing weekend off before he returns to the race track this Saturday.
"It was a good weekend," he said. "I hung out with the kiddos. I watched some football. My son had his first flag football game."
Baughman is slated for an ASCS Lone Star Region versus ASCS Sooner Region event on Saturday at Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas. In his most recent race at the track, Baughman overcame a difficult start to the night to secure his best finish of the season.
"We started on the front row of a heat race and got in a wreck coming out of turn four," he said. "We started 19th and ran fifth (in the feature). I like that place. It's more of what I grew up around. It's a short track with a fence all around it."
His expectation is to continue that success with another top-five result this weekend.
"I think we should be in the top five without a doubt," he said. "A win would be legit, but a top five would be good for us."
