Inside Line Promotions – ODESSA, Texas (June 10, 2014) – Things are about to heat up for Josh Baughman, who is preparing for eight races during a 10-day stretch.

The action kicks off this Friday at Timberline Speedway in Corley, Texas, with the ASCS Lone Star Region. It will be his first career race at the track.

Baughman and his Jason Johnson Racing team will then head to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Saturday for the opening night of the Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Speedweek with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

“We get around Devil’s Bowl pretty good,” he said. “We had an engine issue the last time we were there, which hurt our results. With no issues, I feel like we have a top-10 car.”

This weekend wraps up on Sunday at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., where Baughman will make his debut with the NCRA.

“I really don’t know anything about it,” he said. “It’s completely new to me.”

Baughman will have next Monday and Tuesday off before the four remaining nights of the Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Speedweek – Wednesday, June 18, at Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla.; Thursday, June 19, at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.; Friday, June 20, at Outlaw Motorsports Park in Wainwright, Okla.; and Saturday, June 21, at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo.

“We’ve sat down and had our meetings,” he said. “I’ve talked with Jason and the team. We’re going to communicate for eight nights and have a solid Speedweek. Our goal is to take every checkered flag, no matter what race we’re in. The second goal is to make all the A Mains, to be in every show.”
