Inside Line Promotions – ODESSA, Texas (Oct. 14, 2014) – Josh Baughman’s next test comes at a technical track this weekend.

Baughman and his Jason Johnson Racing team will head to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, for the 41st annual Winter Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour on Friday and Saturday.

“That place is tricky,” he said. “It’s one of a kind. The only way you’re going to get good there is to make laps and laps.”

Baughman is coming off a victory during his last appearance at the half-mile oval. He will rely on that momentum along with the experience and knowledge of veteran crew chief Wayne Priddy.

“Wayne has had a lot of laps around there and has helped me from the fence,” Baughman said. “We work well together. I’m looking forward to going there this weekend.”

With a few dozen of the top drivers in the country set to tackle the doubleheader, Baughman said he is aiming for a trip to Victory Lane.

“My goal is to win,” he said. “I feel like even though we’re there with the ASCS National Tour guys we can go in there, shock people and get a win.”

Baughman has earned two victories this season and both were recorded in Texas.
