Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Feb. 23, 2016) – Josh Baughman will chase the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour crown for the first time in his career this season.

But first, he’s got a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series doubleheader in his home state of Texas to tackle. Baughman is slated to compete this Friday at Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas, for the ATX Rentals Outlaw Shootout and Saturday at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas, for the O’Reilly Auto Parts presents the World of Outlaws hosted by Kasey Kahne.

“We’re biting off a big schedule this season and jumping in the deep end of the pool head first,” Baughman said. “We don’t have a lot of 410 experience, but the hope is to learn quickly and that it will help us when we get back in the 360 equipment.”

Baughman has only competed with the World of Outlaws a handful of times with a career-best result of 15th in 2012.

“There’s a reason the Outlaws are the best in the business and I’ll try to soak up as much as I can throughout the weekend,” he said. “We don’t have much experience at either track as well so it will be a learning experience all around.”

Baughman has never raced at Cotton Bowl Speedway and he has a 16th-place finish during his lone race at Royal Purple Raceway in 2013.
