Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (March 15, 2016) – Josh Baughman will tackle a Texas tripleheader this weekend with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

Baughman is slated to compete on Thursday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco and Friday and Saturday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite for the opening weekend with the series after last weekend was washed out in Oklahoma.

“We’re going out for a win,” he said. “I feel like we can compete for a win every night we’re on the track. However, a top five every night is what we’d be happy with to start the ASCS season.”

Baughman hasn’t logged a ton of laps at Heart O’ Texas Speedway, but the high-banked oval is one of his favorites.

“I like that place a lot,” he said. “We’ve had some mishaps that kept us from winning. Sometimes there’s a top and a bottom groove and sometimes you have to race around the (infield) tires. The last couple of times we’ve been there they’ve added more banking to it so you can run the top, which is where we plan to be.”

Baughman is aiming for his fourth straight season with at least one top-10 finish at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. He posted a ninth-place result at the unique track last year, was victorious in 2014 and captured his first-ever top 10 at the half-mile oval in 2013.

“Devil’s Bowl is one of those tracks you have to draw good first and foremost,” he said. “If you can get a good draw then you’re sitting good. Everyone is pretty good in turns three and four. Turns one and two is the trickier end of the track. We seem to have a good setup for there and have figured out how to race at that end.”

Also, Baughman will have new t-shirts for sale inside Aaron Reutzel’s apparel trailer beginning this weekend.
