Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (July 19, 2016) – Josh Baughman is coming off an up-and-down week in Ohio racing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“Racing with those guys is tough,” he said. “Any time you can just make the show it’s a win for us.”

Baughman did just that a week ago Tuesday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, during the Brad Doty Classic. He qualified fifth quickest in his group before placing third in a heat race to lock into the main event, where he ended with a 17th-place result.

“We’d like to go forward and get better,” he said. “We learned a lot we can use throughout the year in our 410 program.”

Unfortunately, the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway didn’t go as well last weekend. Baughman ended in the C Main all three nights during the marquee event.

“We just struggled all weekend,” he said. “We couldn’t find any balance at all. For the most part we were struggling all weekend. Even though we struggled I think we still got better. We learned what not to do and going into the Knoxville Nationals (next month) I think we’ve found a good package we can use.”

Baughman is returning to the Midwest to compete this weekend. He will race in both the 410ci and 360ci classes on Saturday at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

“Any time you can get to Knoxville and get extra laps it’s good,” he said. “We’ve been pretty decent there every time we’ve been there in a 360. We’re going to use this week as an opportunity to gain an advantage on a lot of people who can’t get there.”

The weekend will conclude on Sunday at Double X Speedway in California, Mo., with the ASCS Warrior Region.

“Double X Speedway is in one of our sponsor’s backyard,” he said. “We’re going to support Fischer Body Shop. We’ve run real good there. That’s my favorite track across the country. We should have won a couple of races there so hopefully we can get the job done this weekend.”
