Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (Oct. 11, 2016) – Josh Baughman is heading to Devil’s Bowl Speedway this weekend for the first time since the early spring.

Baughman will tackle the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour’s Winter Nationals this Friday and Saturday at the unique half-mile oval in Mesquite, Texas, where he was caught up in a crash during his only 360ci start in March and where he garnered a career-best World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series result of 13th the following month.

“Devil’s Bowl is very unique,” he said. “It can be really racy with the right track prep. We haven’t been there very often this year so we’re excited to head back to a track in my home state.”

Baughman said his objective is to reach Victory Lane this weekend.

“Our goal is to go in there and win both nights,” he said. “We’ve run good there. There will be a lot of good cars there. Devil’s Bowl is a luck of the draw type of track. Drawing a good number is half the battle. If we can draw good and put ourselves in a good position I think we will race well.”

Baughman has one career victory at the track, where he drove into the Winner’s Circle in 2014 during a regional race.

“If you can go into a place like Devil’s Bowl and win on a weekend like this that says a lot about your program,” he said. “The Winter Nationals has been around for a long time. There’s a lot of prestige. It’d be a big deal to come away with a win or two.”
