Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (April 5, 2017) – Josh Baughman is refreshed following a weekend off as he heads into the Tony Stewart presents the Texas Sprint Car Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour this Friday and Saturday at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.

“It’s probably going to be one of the hardest ASCS races we’ll be at all year with the quality of cars,” he said. “We’re pretty good at TMS. We’ll go test Thursday night and see if we have everything right.”

Baughman will compete on Friday and Saturday at the half-mile oval in Fort Worth, Texas, where he has posted a top-10 finish during each of his three visits the past two years. He recorded results of eighth and 10th, respectively, last season and he charged from 19th to third place in 2015.

“With the track being the way it’s been in the past you have to make sure you’re somewhere in the front,” he said. “We have to make sure we have a good starting spot in the A Main to give ourselves a chance to win.”

Baughman is also hoping to improve on his season-best finish of eighth place, which he posted last month at a different track in Texas with the ASCS National Tour.

“I know this team is capable of winning races and being in the top five consistently,” he said. “This is a big weekend for us to get back up front and produce a couple of strong results.”
