Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (July 5, 2017) – Josh Baughman will venture to Knoxville Raceway this Saturday when he will do double duty.
Baughman is set to compete in both the 410ci and 360ci winged sprint car classes at the half-mile oval in Knoxville, Iowa, for the first time this season.
“Last year we ran six or seven times before the Knoxville Nationals,” he said. “We haven’t had that opportunity this year. Every lap around Knoxville is crucial. The only people who are good at Knoxville are the people who race Knoxville so it’s important for us to get as many laps as we can before the Nationals.”
Baughman scored three top fives at Knoxville Raceway last season.
He will wrap up the weekend by making his season debut at Double X Speedway in California, Mo., on Sunday.
“Double X Speedway is a place that has a hometown atmosphere,” he said. “We try to get there as much as we can, but haven’t been able to so far this year. We have an opportunity to go have some fun this weekend so we’re excited for it.”
Baughman placed third during his lone start at Double X Speedway last season.
