Inside Line Promotions – ORRVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 4, 2017) – Josh Baughman is slated to tackle the Tuscarora 50 this weekend at Port Royal Speedway.

The $50,000-to-win Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader on Friday and Saturday will mark Baughman’s first visit to the half-mile oval in Port Royal, Pa., since he made his track debut in April.

“That was one of our first 410 races of the year and it was our first race at Port Royal so it wasn’t a good combination,” he said. “We’ve been in quite a few 410 races since then. Having (Dale) Blaney in the car and having him work with Wayne (Priddy) last weekend will definitely better us, too.”

Baughman was unable to meet his team in Ohio last weekend for All Star competition. Veteran Dale Blaney hopped in the sprint car and placed 15th and 21st, respectively, at Attica Raceway Park in Attica before recording a 10th-place finish on Sunday at Wayne County Speedway.

“I was busy with work and couldn’t make the trip,” Baughman said. “Dale didn’t have a ride so it worked out to squeeze him in the car. Hopefully that will make our program better having a veteran like him around our team for the weekend.”

Baughman enters this weekend with a season-best 410 sprint car result of eighth place, which came in Pennsylvania with the All Stars the night after he placed sixth in the B Main during his Port Royal Speedway debut on April 29.

“The last time we were there we weren’t too good,” he said. “We struggled quite a bit. We’ll try to go out there and have fun and compete. We’ve done a couple of things to work on racing at those kind of tracks. We’ll take our big track car and see how much our program has progressed.”
